Is it really necessary to count calories and take into account proteins, fats and carbohydrates to maintain a healthy diet?

Healthy people with a normal body weight and a balanced diet do not need to control calories, protein, fat and carbohydrates - just focus on the feeling of hunger to start eating, and a feeling of moderate satiety to stop. Sometimes the calculation of calories, proteins, fats and carbohydrates is required in the treatment of obesity and diabetes, as well as to create a balanced diet for athletes and dancers, ie in areas where the body is subject to strict requirements. However, there is no need to do this all the time: calculating the nutritional value of foods takes up too many resources. Especially since the results are not as accurate as we would like. It is easier not to count calories, but to reduce the energy value of meals and eliminate unnecessary meals.

Keeping a food diary is more important to assess nutrition. The subjects ate twice as much food as they thought. Those of them who seemed to be on a diet were actually constantly burning calories. Calorie counting may be contraindicated for people with eating disorders, especially if there is compensatory behavior.

The role of milk in a healthy diet

At the heart of human life - the stability of the internal environment. Otherwise, the work of enzymes is disrupted. The body automatically regulates the acid-base balance through buffer systems (solutions that can maintain a certain acidity of the environment). In healthy people, diet has little effect on blood pH, but may partially change the acidity of urine.

This fantastic scenario also ignores the hormones that actually regulate calcium metabolism and kidney function, which fundamentally affect the acid-base balance. The kidneys secrete bicarbonate anions - this allows you to maintain a constant pH level in the blood. Dairy products contain the maximum amount of calcium per serving, and it is well absorbed by the body. They provide us not only with calcium and protein, but also with some vitamins and energy.
