It is easier not to count calories, but to reduce the energy value of meals and eliminate unnecessary meals.

Keeping a food diary is more important to assess nutrition. The subjects ate twice as much food as they thought. Those of them who seemed to be on a diet were actually constantly burning calories. Calorie counting may be contraindicated for people with eating disorders, especially if there is compensatory behavior.
